What we collect
When you submit the contact, booking or newsletter form we receive the details you type: your name, phone number, email address, town and message. We use them to respond to you, schedule work and, if you subscribed, send the newsletter. When you call us we may note your name, address, phone number and the work done so we can remind you when your next service is due and keep a record of what we found in your chimney.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets a small number of essential cookies and local storage values: one to remember whether you chose light or dark mode, one to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice, and the standard WordPress cookies that only apply to logged-in staff. We do not run advertising trackers. If we add a privacy-respecting analytics tool in the future, this policy will say so. How we use and share information
We use your information to provide and schedule chimney and dryer vent services, to send inspection reports and invoices, to send service reminders and the newsletter if you opted in, and to keep records required for warranty and insurance purposes. We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as our email and invoicing tools, and only as needed for those purposes, or when the law requires it.
Retention
Job records, including inspection reports and photos, are kept for as long as you are a customer and for a reasonable period afterward, because they are useful to you when you sell the house or file an insurance claim. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Form submissions that do not lead to a job are deleted within a year.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or unsubscribe from the newsletter and reminders at any time by calling the office or writing to the address above. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are emailed to the office and stored in our business email and scheduling tools, which are password protected. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, and we do not ask you to send sensitive financial information through the site.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, note it in the newsletter.
